Turning my nose up to conventional deodorant

Seizures. Breast Canver. Alzheimer's. Kidney problems. Bone formation issues. Those are all scary things. And things you can be susceptible to with conventional deodorants.  Switching to natural deodorant isn't an overnight thing. You don't just wake up and smell good. My first attempt of using natural deodorant was an epic fail. I stopped using my Secret and went straight to Toms. My pits hated me. I smelled like a dumpster, and the deodorant I used caused my pits to burn and breakout. Probably the baking soda.  I'm a firm believer that making the switch is a trial and error for each person. What works for me may not work for you, and vice versa. Couple tips: 1. Arm yourself with knowledge The product you’re using every day likely has some not-so-great ingredients. Paleo tuna cakes!

As of yesterday, Our family has decided to go Paleo. I'll post the "why" in my next blog. We were already Paleo-ish, so we've tried this recipe before. Tuna cakes is one of my favorite this recipe I like because it adds more flavor.  It calls for Almond flour but I'm currently out so I just doubled up on the coconut flour. I also left out the Redpepper flakes since I'm serving these to my kids. It's cheap, it's easy, and my kids think it's chicken haha!  Ingredient's: (I always double to make enough for lunch the following day!) – 2 5-oz cans good quality tuna – 2 eggs – 2 Tbsp almond flour – 2 Tbsp coconut flour – 1 Tbsp lemon juice – 1 tsp mustard – 1 tsp garlic powder – 1 tsp onion powder – 2 pinches cayenne powder – salt and pepper to taste – oil for cooking (I use avocado oil, for added fat).  Mix together all ingredients in a large bowl until well combined.  Form mixture into parties. I do smaller ones, so I get quite a few. Not sure how
